I've dreamt of going to Papua New Guinea ever since I saw the name on a map. It didn't make any sense; I had never heard anything about it, but that was precisely why I wanted to go. When I arrived in the small humid town of Wewak, it was unlike any place I've ever been. The people are curious, respectful, and intimidatingly beautiful. The light, the Spirithouses, the winding rivers, and the highlands of the country made it a dream to photograph.
