The end of decades of brutal rebel warfare in Colombia has opened up largely untouched areas of rainforest, mountains, and prairies. From the "llaneros", the shoeless cowboys, to Amazon jungle tribes, Colombia offers almost as much cultural diversity as it does biodiversity.
